Hi there! As we come to a close for the year, I’m taking a moment to look back at some of the highlights for our Marketing Agency, Epic Dialogue. From bolstering our internal teams, to seeing more meaningful projects and on-boarding more mission-driven clients, 2021 is a definitely a memorable one for us.
Overcoming Challenges and Celebrating Wins
As with many enterprises struggling to adapt to the changing winds that is Covid-19, Epic Dialogue saw several project cancellations in 2020 and found itself having to re-think its service offerings as an Integrated Marketing Agency.
But in crisis comes opportunities where there was an emergence of new marketing and communications needs that require the agility in execution and fresh perspectives in responding to changing global trends.
Sustainability Communications, Post-Covid-19 Employee Engagement, Social Media-Led CSR Event Campaigns, to name a few, were key projects that drove the growth and direction of the Agency this year.
In 2021, armed with a new Logo and refreshed Brand-story, we re-branded ourselves as “The People’s Agency” where we commit ourselves to not only work on creative works, but also those that are meaningful that build social impact.
Our new mission: We help change-making businesses create social impact through our Sustainability Branding, Communications, and Digital Marketing solutions.
In the coming year, we are excited to be launching our brand new Agency website and an Agency side-project, Epic Nation — a Podcast where we feature amazing humans who are creating social impact to build a better world through their lives and work.
We were also nominated as Finalist for Markies Awards 2021 for our work for SingPost’s PostPal Smart Letterbox Launch Campaign. This is a nod of acknowledgement from the industry that as a boutique agency, we can also stand amongst industry heavy-weights and create works that deliver impact.
Helping to Redefine The Future of Work and Advocating for Digital Transformation
Accelerated by technology and the pandemic, what we understand as the Future of Work has probably already arrived.
While many HR professionals struggle to engage with its workforce in the hybrid work environment, our client SingPost, with the help of our Agency, rolled out a successful internal campaign, Connecting All, to onboard its employees on its internal communications platform, SPhere.
The agency also on-boarded our first Executive Search Firm and HR Management System clients, Charterhouse and BIPO respectively, to support their growth in B2B Brand Awareness. HR digital transformation, future of work, and employee wellness were key themes in building thought-leadership for these clients.
To support the Social Service and Non-profit sector in their journey of Digital Transformation, we also helped National Council of Social Service launch #GoDigitalForGood– a Facebook Workplace platform to connect all Social Service and Non-profit professionals to connect with and learn from industry experts. The on-going marketing efforts is launched during its inaugural #GoDigitalForGood webinar with panellists from Consultancy, Non-profit and the Corporate sector, where we engaged with 200 professionals on how to get started on their Digitalisation Journey.
We also helped Singapore Maritime Foundation in the creation of Visual Assets for its MaritimeONE Scholarship Recruitment Campaign where the focus is on the Digitalisation of the Maritime Industry.
Covid-19: A Push for Retail Omni-Channel Marketing
On the B2C side of the business, with Social Distancing in full force, we supported F&B Brands such as Plentyfull Deli and Simplyfed in launching their online delivery services, and helped Retailer, Bernina, to unify its offline workshop experiences and online e-commerce retail offerings — all in the bid to create a seamless offline-to-online Omni-Channel Marketing.
Employee Wellbeing and Sustainability Continue taking Centre Stage of Corporate Communications
We have learned to be adaptable and resilient in our approach to work and life, and this gives organisations a good opportunity to re-think their long term goals by considering ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors.
We developed our core service offering, Epic Sustainability 360, to help support Sustainability and Marketing Managers in their CSR and Sustainability communications needs. Our first project to be completed under this service arm was the SingPost Sustainability Report, where we worked with its Corporate Stakeholders to develop a comprehensive ESG communications publication to showcase its commitment to Sustainability.
We also on-boarded our first Real Estate client, MCL Land Singapore, under Hong Kong Land Limited which is part of the Jardine Matheson Group, to manage its Social Media Presence with a focus on its People and Sustainability.
Last but not least, we also on-boarded our first Energy Tech Start-up firm, WATT, an EV Charging Solution Provider, to manage their B2B Brand Presence and Awareness. WATT envisions a future with quiet roads free of pollution, made possible by the wonders of electric vehicles, and it is the future that the Agency wants to be a part of.
In all, 2021 has been extremely rewarding for us and we are excited for the upcoming project plans we have for our mission-driven clients and agency partners. The Agency had to battle strong headwinds caused by the pandemic, but has managed to turn the tide and emerged stronger with a clearer purpose and mission. We would like to thank all of our clients and Agency partners who have placed their trust in us over the years.
Here’s to a more rewarding and purpose-filled 2022! 2022 here we come!
Best,
Eric Sim, Managing Director, Epic Dialogue
