As we draw close to the end of the year, I look back at the year that has been for us at Epic Dialogue. I do this every end of the year to take stock of how far we have come as a home-grown, “fun-sized” boutique Marketing Agency, and boy, was it a journey of growth for my team and me.
The agency team’s intention of the year of 2022 was to “Step Into Our Potential”–and I’m glad that this year has given us the opportunity to do just that with the onboarding of new clients to the agency’s roster and the expansion of our creative capabilities.
Challenges abound as we operated against the backdrop of several unsettling macroeconomic events, and amidst the whisper of a looming recession. Despite it all, I’m glad that the team managed to embrace the spirit of agility and resourcefulness to keep a healthy pipeline of happy clients and projects that truly align with our mission.
I think the main driver of our growth this year lies in our challenge for ourselves to always be asking “Why?”. This encouraged us to help our clients think outside of the box, and do work that drives meaning for ourselves and others. Most importantly, asking “why” is the vaccine (pardon the pandemic speak) against groupthink and “because that’s the way we have always done it”, and is crucial for us to thrive in this highly competitive industry.
Deepening our collaboration with purpose-driven clients is one of our priorities that underscores the Agency’s mission to help spread Social Impact through Marketing for Good. This year, we partnered with government agencies, NPOs, responsible businesses, and passionate individuals to drive sustainable value across the board by spotting trends and leveraging best marketing practices against the ever-changing business landscape.
Finger on the Pulse of Latest Trends
Noticing the momentum that TikTok has gained in recent years, especially amongst Gen Zs, we launched our Agency’s TikTok with the intention to spread some fun within the team and document our agency’s happenings. It is also a playful sandbox for us to test content ideas for our clients.
As a result, we landed opportunities with clients like Esplanade, and Singapore’s beloved Uncle Ringo (The Show Master) to create viral Reels and TikTok for the Gen Z target segment, accompanied by Campaign Messaging, Paid Advertising, and Influencer Marketing. Both of which resulted in outstanding ROI for our clients.

Putting People First to create Authentic and Distinctive Brands
With our slogan, “The People’s Agency”, we aim to inject humanity, love, and empathy into our clients’ marketing efforts so that we can be the bridge between achieving business objectives and building trust with their audience.
The team helped define a comprehensive brand engagement strategy for National Robotics Programme under A*Star, to support its re-branding efforts, and supported MCL Land a real estate arm of the Jardine Matheson Group, in their Social Media and Content Marketing, with the objective to cultivate more engaged communities.

Marketing for Good. Marketing for All.
In the last few years, shifts in world trends have impacted our communities in big and small ways. It becomes increasingly clear how much we need advocates and one another to navigate through these complex times.
Staying true to our mission to create Social Impact through Marketing for Good, we supported National Council of Social Service to launch #GoDigitalForGood, a platform to encourage Digital Transformation for the Social Service and Non-profit sector, produced a 72-paged Sustainability Report for Singapore Post Limited to communicate the Company’s Sustainability efforts, and helped National Kidney Foundation Singapore consult for their Marketing and Communications Strategies.

In the spirit of advocating for Social Impact, we also launched Epic Nation Podcast, an agency passion-project where we feature social impact leaders, everyday-heroes, and entrepreneurs who are on the mission to create a better world for all.

And as we continue to explore what’s possible for the agency, this year taught us that our voices — no matter how big or small — can change the world.
In 2023, we hope to continue creating impact, making new friends, and being a bridge between communities. Thanks to all of our clients and agency partners who have placed their trust in us in 2022, I promise we will show up even better in 2023!
Photo Dump
This year wouldn’t be possible without my lovely Epic team. My team knows how much love and gratitude I have for them, so I will not say much except to do a photo-dump, which I may or may not have executed in gen z style.
